Sivakarthikeyan and Sri Divya, who paired up opposite each other for the first time in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, are coming together again in a new film which would be produced by actor Dhanush. The trend followed in Kollywood and elsewhere is that hit pairs of successful films are cast opposite each other again. However, invariably, the successive films featuring the same pair don’t often meet with the same success they managed to achiever in the very first film. Recently, Vishal repeated Lakshmi Menon as the heroine in his upcoming film Naan Sigappu Manithan after their Deepavli hit film Pandianadu. Dhanush produced Ethir Neechal last year which starreed Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand and Nanditha. And is now is all set to launch a new film as a producer and has again opted to cast Sivakarhikeyan as the hero. After watching Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Dhanush has repeated Sivakarthikeyan and Sri Divya as the lead pair in the untitled film. Tamannaah and Amala Paul were reportedly approached to play the female lead in the film but the fee demanded by them made Dhanush look upto Sri Divya. Let’s hope Sivakarthikeyan and Sri Divya would continue their good work in 2014 too.
